I reeeeeally want a mac pro membership, I was wondering how easy it was to get it and if there was any way to fake the criteria to join

Do NOT fake proof to get a MAC pro membership card. They call whatever you give them, and go to refrences, etc to make sure that you are legit. The best advice? Wait until you get real proof you a freelance makeup artist. If they find out you faked it, they will put you on a black list and it will be harder for you to get in.
The reason why it takes long for them to give you a membership (about a month or so), is because they look into everything you give them.
So, wait until you can actually get real credentials. Or, just give them the numbers (if they accept it) to the clients you’ve worked on.
But please, don’t fake anything. They will find out and it WILL make it harder for you to get in.

How to Keep Your Business Cards From Being Tomorrowâs Trash
Knowing why people decide to keep business cards instead of throwing them away can give you a big advantage when designing your business cards. Here are the top 6 reasons why people keep business cards:
1. To remember their colleagues. This is generally the reason people keep business cards from trade shows or other industry events. They want to remember you in case they need you for later or if they want to consider you as a future possible business partner.
2. For a potential resource or supplier connection. If you run a dry-cleaning business, and you hand out your business card to someone in leather goods, that person will probably keep your card because you know how to clean leather. Or maybe you use suppliers that the leather-maker could use.
3. For social reasons. Mainly, if someone is attracted to you, they’ll keep your card for a later date. And I do mean date!
4. To help out a family member or friend. Many people may not need your product or service, but have a family member or friend who could use your service. It’s a good idea to hand out a few full color business cards at a time, and casually mention “In case your family or friends need my service…†Oftentimes this will jog someone’s memory of a family member saying that they needed a product or service like yours.
5. To know their competition. Competitors need to know as much as they can about each other, so someone you may not even know is your competitor (or works for your competitor, or has a family member that works for your competitor) will take your card. You can find out a lot about your competition through their Web site, brochures, flyers and other marketing materials, but it’s tough to get your hand on something more personal like a business card.
6. Your card has an interesting design, or has some useful information on it. Some people keep business cards just because they think it looks cool and they like design! If your print business cards are attractive and also have some useful information on it, like emergency phone numbers, you have a greater chance of someone keeping it.
This is a great reason to use the back of your card for useful information, like a list of your services or benefits, a yearly or six-month calendar or as previously mentioned, local emergency phone numbers.

Rounded corners cards – good idea or not?
With so many cards that change hands every day, is essential to have a care that emphasizes and capture.
Why?
Think of it this way: A recent study found that in PrintWeek over 80% of the subjects I have just seen the letters were given before storing in a pocket. When questioned, said it was because they were not committed enough to really concentrate on what they received.
Interesting is not it?
It just goes to show that "boring" it is rare that you very far.
Therefore, it is not surprising that getting an extra two or three seconds of the eyes may be very important perspective on the life of your business. The question is, are cards with rounded corners the right way to do it? Is this a good way to attract attention?
In my opinion, the cards round the corner Visit are a great option for some simple reasons.
If you go to the right printer, rounded corners are very cheap (or free) Add on. When you think of other improvements such as expensive materials, special shapes and special effects (such as 3D maps lenticular example) a rounded corner business card is a way to highlight significant cost. It is a small change, but the rounded corners are really changing the whole tactile experience of holding a card. Naturally, change the viewing experience as well.
Another benefit of business cards with rounded corners, is the fact that its shape is slightly modified. Son quicker than, say, square business cards, and still offer more space for content and the sale of a business card or a mini SLIM. In other words, offer the advantages are obvious visual and tactile without raising some of the objections raised about other non-standard card shape.
And of course, fits in a book of letters of prospects, customers, partners and referral sources that are using yours. This may not matter to many people, but certainly for some.
In conclusion, business cards with rounded corners add a lot of interest … with or without decreased slightly. Why not?
Only one caveat: Having a rounded corner business map is not a substitute for the design and the actual contents, you should not rely exclusively on the creation of his great and lasting impression. It is a weapon, but the smaller the small tool to transform your energy sales to gain a customer!

Business Card Clutter? Organize Those Stacks Into A Useful Database Instead
Most of us have stacks of business cards we’ve collected over time that are cluttering up our desk drawers, in-boxes, or other spots in our offices. It’s good to make business contacts, but a stack of cards sitting around isn’t helping you or anyone else. The reason to collect business cards is to do business! How many cards do you have right now that you’ve never done anything with? Do you even remember all those people? Think of what you’re missing in terms of services you could use and referrals you could exchange! This is especially important if you own a small business.
Go through your stacks and toss the cards with names or companies you no longer recognize. Organize those that are worth keeping. If you want to keep the physical cards, there are all sorts of ways you can organize them so that they’re no longer clutter: plastic notebook pages, rotary files, card wallets, or miniature file cabinets. However, if you want to be able to work with the information, to make use of it, convert those cards into a database.
You can do this by entering the information manually into Outlook or some similar application, or you can do it more quickly and easily using a card scanner. These clever devices read business cards and automatically distribute the information on them into the proper fields in their software. They also capture the image of the card for visual reference. There are so many advantages to converting your card collection into a database; you really ought to consider doing it.
1. you no longer need the physical cards, so you can get rid of the clutter
2. you can add notes to the records to jog your memory in the future
3. you can search for a contact if you remember anything at all: name OR company OR where you met OR what you talked about
4. you can export the data to your phone or PDA so that you always have it with you, to use or pass on to a colleague
5. you can export the data to your email contact list to make it easier to stay in touch
6. you can easily update the records when phone numbers or addresses change, or when you want to add information
7. you don’t waste time wading through dozens of cards hoping to spot the one you’re looking for
If you don’t have the time to do this yourself, it’s the perfect task for a virtual assistant or college student. They can type the information or zip the cards through a card scanner. A virtual assistant may even have a card scanner already.
If you decide to buy a scanner, they’re not terribly expensive and can be a great investment you’ll use for years. Or take a look on eBay. There are always people upgrading to the latest version and selling their old one that still works perfectly.
