Streaming using a video capture card

What you need:

 - Operating System  - 1 Video capture card  - Drivers for video capture cards (driversguide.com fetch software drivers for the cards video capture)  - DirectX 9.0c  - VLC (please CVS night, many good people working very hard on this software, and please donate to them if you can)  - A network connection  - Windows Media Player  - Lots of patience 

Step 1

– Install capture card systems (I use all ATI Wonder Cards and have no problem) – Install or update DirectX (windowsupdate.com) – Install VLC

Step 2 To NAT (using DHCP for home networks) / DSL / cable router

– Go to your router and click the Port Forwarding – Enter your server address VLC desired IP and port for forwarding. – Your router settings must agree and say that everything is ok

Step 3

 - Start VLC  - Go to File> Open device Captue> Video Device Name> Update .. (wait a minute) in the default toolbar and click the capture device driver (which comes with the card)  - Click Now Stream / Save> Settings  - Click on Play Locally and MSH. YOUR LOCAL Enter the IP address and the desired port (for people using NAT thats 192.XXX you send to your router earlier)  - Click on the video codec and choose Video Codec format (I use WMV since I'm using WMP), then select a speed of up to 192 or 128, then select the image size in your player (1 to 2)  - Repeat instructions above for audio  - A quality setting is TTL VERY IMPORTANT - the minimum 10. This tells VLC the number of routers its stream is likely to pass.  - Click OK and click OK again to start the flow of 

Step 4

– Open WMP and click File> Open URL – Type http://:9494 – video of a stamp small, but see your photos.
