Buy Business Cards Online
One of the most important aspects to your business, is your card. When looking to buy business cards, you definitely need to think things through – Big Time.
Basically, a business card is your gateway to future business. It is an easy way to concrete a possible relationship, and when you hand one out, you’re basically giving away a piece of your business…
Don’t let your business look lame.
How to Design a Great Business Card
Before you go out and buy a ton of boring business cards, think things through…
You want people to remember you. And when someone is looking for your particular service, you most likely won’t be the only one they check into – especially if you’re a local business owner.
And aside from your first impression, your next biggest (and most important) asset is your business card.
So, here are some ideas on how to create a great business card that people will like and remember.
Brainstorm First
The best place to start is by writing some thing down. Write down things that are related to your business…
If you sell something, write down types of items you sell. If you provide a service, write down items that have to do with that…
If by now, you’re wondering why, well we’ll get to that in a moment.
Pictures and Colors
The next thing you should do is to play around with different color schemes. Now, most people don’t spring the extra few dollars it takes to make their business cards *POP*, and they could be killing their chances right off the bat!
We’ve all seen the old ‘black and white’ monochrome set before – its time for something different.
Try experimenting with at least 2 different colors, and using color schemes that are already established winners or that people will resonate with like:
- Color Schemes of other popular companies
- Colors related to famous companies (not in your niche)
- Colors that simply look good together
- Colors that have to do with the products or goods you are selling
Also, placing an image to the side or behind the text of the card will make it that much better looking, and you dont have to go hog wild on it.
Maybe a simple thumbnail to the right of the text that shows a successful job of your product or service in action..
Example: If you clean rugs, maybe have a small side-by-side comparison thumbnail of one carpet dirty, and one clean after your services. These types of visual images really stand out.
Other Great Ideas
While there are tons of great ideas out there, here are some final good ones.
Cut the Card to a shape. Simply cut your cards out into a particular shape.
Laminate and Hole Punch. Laminate your cards, and hole punch them so that people can put them on their keychains (like fry’s cards!).
Add a third dimension. Glue something on top of the card. If you sell something like fabric or something small you can give out, then attach it to the card.
I hope you enjoyed this guide, and that it will get you thinking before you go out buy business cards.
